Medical technologies ranging from assistive and rehabilitation robotics for mobility, to brain and spinal cord stimulation, to technologies to help with everyday tasks are emerging on the market and being made available to improve the rehabilitation and quality of lives of persons with disabilities all over the world.

The Centre for Functional Movement and Enabling Technologies aims to help persons with disabilities attain their best function and quality of life possible, and to make enabling technologies accessible to all who need them through implementation research, education and leadership in communities of practice.
