Practice Changing Innovations Programme

2024/11/07

The Practice Changing Innovations (PCI) Programme is one of NUHS's flagship programs. Under this programme supported by the Centre for Innovation in Healthcare (CIH), selected home-grown innovations with high potential to transform clinical practice will be aggressively deployed to change care delivery and impact population health. Once these PCIs are successfully deployed within NUHS, they will be scaled to the rest of the country or regionally.

The PCI Programme is dedicated to accelerating the deployment and widespread adoption of our most promising and mature innovations. Here are some PCI highlights:

Medical Devices

EndoMaster: Robotic-assisted surgery for minimally invasive endoscopic surgery

GASTROClear Blood Test for Gastric Cancer Early Detection: A microRNA blood test for early detection of gastric cancer

Digital & Artificial Intelligence

Spine Imaging AI: A deep learning AI model for automated detection and classification of lumbar spina canal, lateral recess and neural foraminal stenosis in an MRI scan of spine

CHAMP, a population-based Chronic Disease Management Programme by NUHS: AI supported scalable population-level solution for managing diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia
