Broadly discuss Asian perspectives on mental health. Explore existing models of formulation as well as introduce a model of cultural clinical formulation. Explore challenges that can arise when strategies from Western psychotherapy intersect with Asian cultural values (filial piety, emotion expression, attachment, gender roles). Demonstrate and practice of schema-focused skills with cultural adaptations for imagery rescripting, chairwork as well as other techniques.
